Terms of Sale

Fintastic Aquariums stands behind each product that we sell and are committed to your 100-percent satisfaction.  We make every effort to treat our customers fairly, honestly, and courteously.  In support of that commitment, the terms that apply to the sales of products, livestock, and services, is as follows:

Product Refunds.  If for any other reason you decide to return an item within 30-days of its purchase, your money will be cheerfully refunded.  Custom items, products that we do not carry in our inventory that you have specially ordered, and livestock products are excluded from this policy, and are not returnable.  Products purchased online or through any means where shipping charges are involved are eligible for refunds, except for custom items, products that we do not carry in our inventory that you have specially ordered, and livestock products.  However a 10% restocking feebased on the purchase price of the item that is to be returnedshall be deducted from the amount refunded.  In addition, all shipping charges incurred in the sale or the return of the item shall be paid by the customer.  We will refund the price of the product once it has been returned to us, less the applicable restocking fee and all incurred shipping charges.  These charges may include those for initial shipping, return shipping, and any additional charges assessed by the carrier.  In all cases, to be eligible for a refund, the returned product must be unopened, unused, and accompanied with its dated sales receipt.

Product Exchanges.  If for any other reason you decide to return an item within 30-days of its purchase, you may choose to exchange it for another product in our store of equal value.  Should you choose to exchange an item for one of lesser value, you will be refunded the difference.  Should you choose to exchange it for an item of greater value, you must pay the difference.  Custom items, items that we do not carry in our inventory that you have specially ordered, and livestock products are excluded from this policy, and are not exchangeable.  Any product purchased online or through any means where shipping charges are involved are eligible for exchanges, except for custom items, products that we do not carry in our inventory that you have specially ordered, and livestock products.  However all shipping charges incurred in the initial sale and exchange process shall be paid by the customer.  In these cases we will exchange a product once it has been returned to us, and assess you for any additional shipping charges.  These charges may include those for initial shipping, return shipping, re-shipping the exchanged item, and any additional charges assessed by the carrier.  In all cases, to be eligible for a refund, the returned product must be unopened, unused, and accompanied with its dated sales receipt. 

Defective Products.  Any product that is found to be defective within 30-days of purchase is eligible for a refund or exchange as provided in the preceding paragraphs, however you will not be assessed charges to return the item, re-ship the replacement item, or pay a re-stocking fee.  This also applies to custom items and items that we do not carry in our inventory that you have specially ordered, however it does not cover any livestock products.  Any product found to be defective after this 30-day period cannot be returned to or exchanged by us, however many of our products are covered by a manufacturer's warranty and we will do the best we can to provide you with information necessary to contact the manufacturer directly.

Damaged Products.  Any product that is you receive in a damaged  condition as a result of shipping are eligible for exchange with no additional charges to you.  However, you must notify us within  5-days of receiving delivery as to what was damaged.  You must also keep all original shipping boxes, packing and the damaged item until we contact you with further instructions.  We will file the claim with the shipping company on your behalf, but please be aware that often the shipping company will want to inspect the package and damaged product.  Once we have filed the claim, we will ship you a replacement.

Cancellation of an Order.  You may cancel any order, except special and custom orders, prior to it being shipped, however a 10% restocking fee will be assessed.  This restocking fee will be calculated as 10% of the purchase price of the item that you wish to cancel.  Should you cancel your order after it has been shipped, or you refuse delivery of your order, we will refund the price of the product once it has been returned to us, less all incurred shipping and restocking fees.  Special and custom order items may not be cancelled once the order has been placed.

Failed Delivery.  If the carrier is unable to deliver the package to you for any reason, you can either have us re-attempt shipment or you can cancel the order.  In either case you will be charged for all shipping fees, and in the case of a cancelled order, a 10% restocking fee.
